(Arnstorf, 16 September 2011) – Due to the event series’ success in Germany, the Technical Furniture Forum provided by Emerson Network Power/Knürr Technical Furniture GmbH will now also be held this year in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The road show will stop in the Hotel Dubai Marina on 18 October and inform about the latest trends in the control room equipment and planning area. Crème-de-la-crème speakers will essentially speak on ergonomic issues, but the focus is also on topics including efficient working, light planning, room division, modularity and visualization. Special attention will be paid during the international kick-off event to the professional knowledge transfer between the speakers and participants, and expansion of the expert network. Dr. Toni Ivergaard, Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, will open the event. In his presentation on the theories and principles of control room planning, ergonomics, safety and production quality, he will share his experiences in the manufacturing industry and risk management and controlling, which he has gathered over many years in various management positions. Participants will also receive valuable information on communication in security-critical applications and intelligent visualization solutions in control rooms. The two presentations, “Focusing on people in the control room – ergonomic sitting with Recaro Cento Design” and “Holistic control room planning with Knürr Technical Furniture GmbH”, will thematically round off the event. Those in attendance are also offered a comprehensive overview with the various focus points.
