[14.09.2010] Control station equipment at Security 2010 satisfies latest standards and directives back

Emerson Network Power presents best-in-class products in two halls

Emerson Network Power will be represented from 5 through 8 October 2010 at Security trade fair in Essen with ergonomic furniture from the Synergy and ErgoCon product series. The control station equipment experts will present their solutions in hall 1 at partner Vomatec International GmbH’s stand 140E. The focus here is on a new product innovation, which is predestined for use in security control stations: the Knürr Synergy Console is provided as a sit-stand version, which is electrically height-adjustable in the 650 mm to 1,250 range. In addition to plenty of space for technical components and cable integration, the desk also has a practically noiseless lifting mechanism, which allows the user to control their workstation individually. The console, which is especially suitable for 24-hour shift work, also provides further ergonomic benefits: the operator enjoys optimum viewing distances with a monitor connection on multi-functional rails. A spacious, easy to access technical pedestal for technical integration guarantees complete legroom freedom at all times, as the equipment can be intelligently housed when the mounting panels and chassis runners are installed. The ergonomic worktop shape also makes an important contribution to an ideal workstation setup. As requirements are constantly increasing because of the continuously rising stress levels, Knürr Technical Furniture included all available occupational therapy information when developing the Knürr Synergy. The furniture’s quality is confirmed by complying with standards and ergonomic requirements in acc. with DIN EN ISO 11064-1-4 and DIN EN 527. These guidelines include ergonomic principles, recommendations and requirements, which must be applied with both the configuration of control stations and with the extension, renewal and technically required improvements of control stations. The product series is rounded off with the Knürr Synergy Wall, which is set up modularly and therefore can be upgraded at all times. Public displays and LCD monitors of practically every size can be quickly and easily “hung on” with the innovative rail system, and any possible monitor changes required can be performed effortlessly without any tools. Generously dimensioned cable management has also already been integrated here into the side panels and cross rails as standard.
Fair visitors are offered a further highlight in hall 3 at stand 704! The Knürr ErgoCon Console, a height-adjustable control room console, which also meets all requirements for ergonomics and comfort, will be exhibited at the Primion stand. This provides the user with benefits resulting in more efficient working, thereby creating a more pleasant environment.

The Security global trade fair, which opens its doors for the 19th time this year, presents the latest developments and innovations in the security sector. The technological adjustment of workstation arrangements in control centers and control rooms will be one of them.
