Knürr Technical Furniture solutions meet the highest requirementsKnürr Technical Furniture recently equipped two control stations with new furniture as part of optimization work at Leipzig/Halle Airport. In the search for synergy effects the airport’s management opted to merge the three 24-hour control stations for traffic, fire department and security into one joint control station – Fire Station West. The control room, which now acts as an integrated operations center, has been fitted with top quality ergonomic workstation solutions from the ErgoCon product series. Knürr Technical Furniture met the customer’s requirements in absolutely every respect here: the implementation of a demanding sit-stand concept for all planning levels was also part of the requirements, as was the heat load reduction in the desks’ technical pedestals. In addition to plenty of space for technical components and cable integration, the control room consoles also provide a quiet, stepless lifting mechanism that enables the user to individually arrange their workstation. With up to four lifting columns, ErgoCon has now opened a new chapter in electric height adjustment. The TFT adaption on a linear functional rail also enables an ideal viewing distance to the monitors. Tilt and viewing angles can be adjusted and individually set to the respective employee’s needs. As control station furniture requirements are constantly increasing due to increasingly higher workload levels in 24-hour shift operations, the Knürr experts also took all available occupational health information into account when developing the solutions, and built their control station furniture on this basis. Ergonomic and comfort requirements are consequently covered in every respect. The hidden cable management with a spacious cable tray below the worktop also makes a major contribution to comfort by holding socket strips, switches and KVM extenders. This provides the user with benefits resulting in optimized workflows, thereby creating a more pleasant working environment. The Dacobas workstations used in the Fire Station East ensure freedom of movement for chairs in the link-up area of the module elements with their ergonomic legroom, enabling more comfortable and effective work. This “yielding” control station therefore satisfies absolutely every wish you could have for top quality workstation furniture. The technical furniture experts also met the requirements for holistic solutions with the spatial design and the use of chart walls and media walls for the workstations’ visual and acoustic decoupling. The excellent price-performance ratio and professional project management also made invaluable contributions to the joint project’s successful completion. |
