[04.05.2010] New Knürr Synergy Product Family for Process Automation (Interkama+) back
Positive conclusion drawn after successful trade fair appearance

Knürr Technical Furniture came shining through once again with new, holistic and standardized control room solutions at this year’s Interkama+, the flagship trade fair for process automation. The experts for control station furniture presented the innovative Knürr Synergy product family for the first time in Hanover this year.

A console, a monitor wall and a mobile equipment trolley were the highlights of the trade fair presence. “Numerous international guests came directly and specifically to our stand to get a good look at this control station furniture in such a modern, standardized design,” explained Gerhard Buchbauer, Knürr Technical Furniture General Manager. And functionality is certainly provided aplenty with Synergy! With the Knürr SynergyConsole the Arnstorf-based manufacturer presented an ergonomic and stepless electric-motor height-adjustable desk that optimally provides all work conditions. In addition to plenty of space for technical components and cable integration, the console also has a practically noiseless lifting mechanism, which allows the workstation to be controlled individually. The operator can enjoy optimum viewing distances with an ergonomic monitor connection. A spacious technical pedestal for integrating the technology at the workstation also guarantees complete legroom freedom at all times, as the equipment can be intelligently housed when the mounting panels and chassis runners are installed. Further workstation benefits are, for example, the cable trough under the worktop and other integrated special features for housing socket strips and switches, for example. “Ergonomic furniture is indispensable in control rooms in the process automation area,” explains Mr. Buchbauer, adding: “Because these guys often have to work here in 24-hour shift operation, the workstations have to be functional and sufficiently comfortable.” Knürr Synergy has therefore been specially adjusted to the conditions in control stations on the basis of occupational health findings. Knürr also presented the Knürr SynergyCart mobile equipment trolley in the same design and with extended functions. This universal solution is especially impressive due to its diverse range of application options. The basic model can be extended with numerous extras, so that the right kind of trolley can be put together for the various usage areas. User friendly cable management provides exit options to the front over the trolley’s entire height. A generously dimensioned cable exit from the characteristic vertical supports in the base tray is also provided.
The trade fair stand’s presentation of the product family was perfectly rounded off with the perfect monitor wall. The Knürr SynergyWall impressively raises eyebrows with its functionality and ultra-modern look. Public displays and LCD monitors of practically every size can be quickly and easily “hung on” with the innovative rail system. And a spaciously dimensioned cable management has also already been integrated here into the side panels and the cross rails as standard. Thanks to its modular setup, the control room furniture can be upgraded and extended quickly and easily with Knürr Synergy components at all times. “The trade visitors were highly impressed with our innovations and the feedback was extremely positive,” says a clearly satisfied Mr. Buchbauer in summing up a truly successful trade fair presence.
