[03/18/2009] - It’s all about efficiency - Technical Furniture at Interkama+ 2009 back
Interkama+ in Hanover, Hall 7 Stand C19: Knürr Technical Furniture presents its new electro-motor height-adjustable control room console, ErgoCon®, which optimizes the modern communications technology in digital public safety communications systems, industrial applications, control centers and monitoring and control rooms, and ensures smooth and seamless process flows.
The system’s intelligent technology ensures that the entire worktop level is driven up and down at the touch of a button – stepless and quiet as a whisper! Knürr’s ErgoCon® can therefore be adjusted to all kinds of individual working positions. A memory function saves users from having to reprogram height positions and speeds, and an anti-collision function also minimizes downtimes.
Ergonomics experts also increasingly recommend a dynamic and back-friendly sitting position, which Knürr now provides with its flexible sit-stand workstation system, consequently ensuring well earned relief for backs all over the world!
Lowered monitor levels and separately height-adjustable functional rails not only offer ergonomic benefits with regard to the viewing angle of the monitors – they also allow the workstation’s rear panel to be adjusted, so that the user has a free view to the outside or into the room. Special codes that enable fast fault diagnostics provide additional comfort for service work. Moreover, swapping out the lifting columns is possible without interrupting workflows.
From the outside the elaborate goings-on of the Knürr ErgoCon® are scarcely noticeable, because the ultra-modern technology is neatly hidden behind a modern, eye-catching design.
Further special technical features of the console solution include the spacious horizontal cable trough and vertical side extrusions, which accommodate more than a kilometer of cable, plus socket strips, switches and connections for mouse, keyboard and the like! Another highlight is the patented Ergo Edge, which, consisting of a robust but soft material and in contrast to metal or multiplex edges, produces a pleasant surface temperature.

Loyal to the trade fair slogan, “It’s all about efficiency,” the functionality and efficiency of Knürr Technical Furniture’s solutions are also reflected in the height-adjustable Electronic Workstation, which will also be presented at the stand. In a unique concept the latest information from the world of occupational health and workstation ergonomics has been combined with Knürr’s proven modular system solutions. The ergonomic quality of this workstation forms an optimum basis for productive and relaxed, tire-free working.

With a re-launch of the tried, tested and proven Dacomobile® Control Room Solution, the focus at Interkama+ is also on individually configurable analysis and measurements trolleys. The solution now has a new design and an end-to-end ESD concept, which prevents electrostatic discharges on system components. The mobile equipment trolley therefore proves its optimum adaption to changing conditions, and consequently its scalability and sustainability.

Knürr Technical Furniture is a certified partner for process control station furniture, and meets all ergonomics-related workstation standards. This includes perfectly harmonized and individually adjustable systems with adjustable viewing distance, leg space, visualization elements and optimized vision and reach range.
