Standards and regulations of ergonomic design of workstations are updated permanently. Knürr Technical Furniture, as a manufacturer of consoles, desks and workstations, needs to know all these updates. This is why Knürr trained another 13 Workplace Experts this year.
The overall goal was to comprehend office rooms as working systems and to optimize these. Existing German and European laws and regulations are playing such a big role as economic aspects.
The user of the office, the worker, should be in the center of attention at any time. This is the only way how the user will accept his office environment. Moreover, aspects such as fire protection, light concept or acoustic have to be considered as well in order to create optimum working conditions.
Stefan Kleinhenz, the trainer of the course, is a self-employed office planner with 15 years work experience in office planning and furniture sales and distribution. He points out, that it is extremely important to know all facts regarding the organization, the ergonomics and the technical equipment of an office in order to plan and create workstations properly.
“Due to the mixture of teaching elements and workshops elements the contents were partly worked out on their own and was fun to learn” the participants conclude.
